September 19, 2022.<\/strong> after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, held the 2nd. Good Practice Forum (FDP), organized by the Library of the University of Economics, with the support of the European Delegation. The opening ceremony was performed by the Vice Chancellor for Economic Affairs. Research and Academic Personnel Prof. dr hab. Ewa Sta\u0144czyk-Hugiet and the Director of the Regional Representation of the European Commission in Wroclaw, Jacek Wasik.<\/p>\n\n

This year’s Forum was divided into two thematic panels. The first deals with the subject of electronic collections, with a particular emphasis on issues related to making them accessible and creating statistics. The second panel exchanged insights, initiatives and problems that libraries face in shaping openness policies at universities. A total of 13 papers were presented in this edition, and two discussion sessions were held.<\/p>\n\n

The event was attended by approx. 100 people, mostly employees of Polish scientific libraries, including Poland’s largest universities: Jagiellonian University, Gdansk University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology. Our guests also included representatives of companies cooperating with libraries, among others. Cambridge University Press, Sygnity Business Solutions or the National Science Center. It is hoped that the FDP will permanently enter the calendar of events enabling faster flow of information and exchange of experience among scientific library staff.<\/p>\n\n
