I am an WUEB student. How do I subscribe to the Library?
Enrollment in the Library is done exclusively online through an electronic form. Within 14 business days, activate your Library account and encode your ID card at the Circulation Desk or on one of the Library’s floors. You can find your library card as a barcode and QR code in your library account.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
Use the “I don’t remember my password” option or ask the librarian (in person) for a new temporary password.
I forgot my login, what should I do?
Contact the librarian on duty in person or by email at [email protected]. To contact the Library, we recommend using the address in the domain @ue.wroc.pl or @student.eu.wroc.pl
I misspelled my account password three times, now what?
Use the “I don’t remember my password” option or contact the librarian to generate a temporary password and send it to the indicated email address.
I am a student at the Wroclaw School of Banking. Can I use the Library?
Yes, signing up as a Guest, but without being able to borrow the book collection. Until further notice, the library serves only employees, doctoral students and students of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.
I study at another state university in Wroclaw. Can I borrow books?
Yes. First you need to sign up online for the Library, and then, along with your pledge card, activate your account at the Lending Library or on any floor of the Library.
I am a graduate of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business. Can I continue to use the Library?
Yes, for a period of one year after receiving graduate status, but without the ability to borrow books.
Do you have to be a registered reader to use Scientific Information?
Yes. The use of Scientific Information is based on an active library account or Guest card.
I started studying for a second degree. Can I make a second card/establish a reader account?
Students of two majors receive only one reader account with a limit of 20 books.
I study at the WUEB and another state university, so do I have the opportunity to borrow more books?
Yes, once the commitment card is delivered, the limit will be increased to 20 books.
I am neither a student nor an employee – can I use the Library?
Yes, by creating a Guest account. Pay the fee for a registered library card in the amount of PLN 20 for 1. Library floor.
Using the collections
How many books can be borrowed?
- WUEB students – 10 volumes
- students of 2 faculties at WUEB – 20 volumes
- Students and employees of state universities – 10 volumes
- WUEB employees and doctoral students – 25 volumes (including from Ref. A,B,C)
- members of scientific circles – 17 volumes (including 2 from ref. A,B,C)
- retired WUEB employees – 5 volumes
For how long can books be borrowed?
There are three types of books in the Library :
- books with the signature W, which can be borrowed for 3 months
- books with signatures A,B,C are lent only to employees, doctoral students and members of scientific circles for a period of 4 weeks.
How is the book collection arranged in the Library?
The books are arranged thematically on 3 floors and in each section they are arranged alphabetically by signature.
How long do ordered books wait to be picked up at the Lending Library?
Four business days after ordering, including the day we ordered the book.
How can I get an extension on the book return date?
You can do it yourself on your library account (renewal) or in person at the librarian on duty.
What are my risks if I don’t return the book on time?
The system automatically charges a fee for held books of PLN 1 for each week started.
Where to pay the book retention fee?
At 1 p. Libraries by credit card or bank transfer to a designated account.
Can I borrow a dissertation?
No, dissertations can only be used on-site at Scientific Information. You must be enrolled in the Library to access your dissertation.
Can I order a journal for Scientific Information online?
We find magazines with the location of a particular floor on our own and can use them anywhere in the Library. Periodicals older than 5 years with a Magazine location are ordered with a paper reverse from the librarian on duty. Ordered volumes will be delivered to Scientific Information within 30 minutes.
I lost a borrowed book. What should I do?
In the event of loss or damage to a book with the signature W, the reader is obliged to repurchase the same book (or a newer edition) or, in the case of out-of-print, any from the established list, which is posted on the Library’s website and in the Lending Library. For books with archival references (A,B,C), report to the head of the Collection Management Section.
The book has a Warehouse/Warehouse 2 location, where can I borrow it?
The book must be ordered online and collected from the Circulation Desk (building U) or from a book vending machine (please note that the order processing time is at least 45 minutes from the time the order is sent to the Circulation Desk, and for book vending machines, expect an email. In October, this time is extended to 24 hours).
Can I borrow a magazine to take home?
No, magazines are only made available on site.
I can’t pick up the books I ordered. Can someone do it for me if I give them my student ID card?
Only if an authorization to pick up books has been previously submitted.
My lecturer said that as a student I could use online databases. How can I find them?
The databases can be found on the Main Library website under E-Resources.
Why won’t the system let me borrow a book through the online catalog? I am logged in and have a valid account.
Books for loan have different locations. Online you can order titles with “Magazine/Magazine 2” location and during the Library’s closing hours also those with floor locations. During the Library’s opening hours, for copies with floor locations, go to the Library, locate them yourself by shelf signature and borrow them using Selfcheck. If you have trouble finding a book, you should get help from the librarian on duty.

Where in BGUEW can I use a computer with Internet access?
You can use a computer on every floor of the library.
Can I also use the databases available on the University’s network from my home computer?
Yes, access through the PROXY server is available to WUEB students, staff and doctoral students.
How do I reserve a cubicle for individual work in the library? Is there a fee for this?
WUEB academic staff can reserve cabins for one semester (4 months), doctoral students – 1 month, students – 1 week. Cabins can be reserved through the app, with the librarian on duty on the 2nd, 3rd or by phone. Booking a cabin is free of charge.
Where can the circulation card be stamped?
The circulation card can be stamped at the Lending Library.
Where can I get the code for IbukLibra?
Log in to the INTEGRO library catalog, access your user account, then select the “Ibuk Libra” tab and download the Ibuk Libra code. Information about the code’s validity will be visible next to the downloaded code.
