Warsaw, Europe and us – UEW students at the Europa Experience center

On June 18, 2025, on the initiative of Dr. Ewa Szostak, Prof. of UEW and the Center for European Documentation, second-year students of International Economic Relations from the Wroclaw University of Economics took part in a study visit to Europa Experience, a multimedia educational center at the European Parliament Representation in Warsaw.

During the visit, participants learned from behind the sceneshow the European Union institutions work. The most exciting was the simulation game, in which students took on the roles of MEPs. They debated, negotiated and voted on draft EU legislation – just like in the real European Parliament!

The second part of the meeting dealt with one of the most important topics of modern times – disinformation. Rafal Gwizd from the European Union Information Point in Wroclaw talked about how to recognize and effectively counteract it. It was concrete, interactive and with a large dose of knowledge.

It was a great opportunity to put theory to the test in practice – and get an even better understanding of how Europe works.
