A month has passed since our joint meeting at the EU Networks Congress, and it would be worth recalling what happened there. From March 4th to 6th, representatives of three EU information networks in Poland met in Serock, near Warsaw: Europe Direct, Team Europe Direct, and the European Documentation Centres. Also among the invited guests were a group of EU Ambassadors, representatives of the EU Local Councillors Network (EULC), and representatives of public libraries. Important topics related to current EU and Polish policy included:
- How to build trust in EU structures and increase awareness of the tangible benefits associated with the activities of EU institutions.
- Network threats and digital attacks on national infrastructure were discussed, as well as how to counter deliberately spread disinformation.
- The future of the EU and the prospects for its enlargement to include additional member states were discussed.
The event was honored with remarks by special guests, including Andrzej Halicki, Member of the European Parliament, and Piotr Serafin, Member of the European Commission responsible for the budget, public administration, and combating financial fraud. We cordially invite you to view the official, detailed summary of the event.
