PROXY Remote Access

PROXY Remote Access

Subscribed databases can be used by users on computers located on the university network (no logins and passwords are required), unless otherwise indicated in the description of an individual database. We suggest using databases from computers and terminals in the library network (i.e., on the premises of the Main Library).

Research and teaching staff, doctoral students and students of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business can use databases and full-text electronic sources also outside the university network (e.g., from home computers), through a Proxy server.

To enable access, you must have an email address in the @ue.wroc.pl domain. Users simply need to configure the proxy server according to the instructions below.

NOTE! Licenses for the use of electronic services and databases prohibit the creation of entire archives, ie. significant or systematic duplication (ripping) of data. The system records logins, journal titles, links to databases and the number of full-text downloads.

For questions regarding access to databases, licenses, etc., please contact: [email protected]

For technical questions on how to configure the server on your own computers or mobile devices, please contact the IT Support Department.

Proxy server login

1. To use the proxy, add the following script to your browser: https://bg-proxy.ue.wroc.pl/proxy/proxy.pac (all browser settings can be found below) and save the changes.

2. After doing this, visit https://proxy-bg.ue.wroc.pl and log in. The login and password are the same as for your employee or student email (employees enter their first and last name separated by a period, e.g., jan.kowalski without the [email protected]; students enter only their student ID number without the [email protected]).
